ANCHOR BAY SET TO BRING VIGILANTE DIARIES TO BLU-RAY THIS SUMMER

ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT
presents
“VIGILANTE DIARIES”
In Select Theaters and on iTunes June 24th
On Blu-ray™, DVD and On Demand July 5th

Anchor Bay Entertainment announces the release of the highly anticipated action-comedy film Vigilante Diaries, which will be released in select theaters and on iTunes on June 24, 2016, and On Demand, Blu-ray™ and DVD on July 5, 2016. Based off the popular web series on Chill.com, the film features an all-star ensemble cast led by Paul Sloan (I Am Wrath, The Night Crew), Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (The A-Team, UFC Light Heavyweight Champ), action icon Michael Jai White (The Dark Knight, Black Dynamite), Jason Mewes (Clerks, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back) and Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill).  The film is directed by Christian Sesma (Shoot the Hero) from a script written by Christian Sesma and Paul Sloan.

Vigilante Diaries revolves around a team of black-ops agents turned crime-fighters, led by an elusive, brooding anti-hero of near-mythical physical and weapons skills, known only as The Vigilante (Sloan). Abandoned by governments, corporations and his handlers and with a bounty on his head, The Vigilante’s jam-packed missions of rescue and revenge take the audience from the mega-mansions and underbelly of Los Angeles to far-flung locales including Iraq, Armenia, Russia, and the UK.  The film introduces a cast of colorful, dangerous, and hilarious characters with each of these missions. Mewes plays Beverly Hills documentary filmmaker Michael Hanover, who records the exploits of The Vigilante and is thrust headfirst into the middle of the story he is documenting—becoming a high-value target himself in the process. Mix in a trio of Asian femme fatales, a cadre of ruthless Armenian mobsters, and at the top, a pair of deep cover super-spies hell-bent on throwing the world into chaos – it’s no wonder it’s up to The Vigilante, not God, to sort ‘em all out.

The DVD, Blu-ray™ and Digital HD will have kick ass bonus materials including a “Behind The Scenes” featurette bringing fans closer to The Vigilante.

Vigilante Diaries is an Oscar Gold Productions, Seskri Produktionz and Ton of Hats production, in association with Vallelonga Productions. The film was produced by Mike Hatton, Asko Akopyan, Nick Vallelonga, Christian Sesma and Joshua Mandel.

OSIRIS ENTERTAINMENT'S BLOOD RUSH TO DEBUT THIS MONTH!!!

BLOOD RUSH

Out this month on VOD from Osiris Entertainment

The unnerving Blood Rush, starring award winning actress Stella Maeve (Transamerica) and acclaimed actor Michael Madsen, is now available on VOD from Osiris Entertainment.

Directed by Harris Demel, the film fixes on Nicole Diamond, an internationally-known model, who finds herself in an upside-down car in the middle of nowhere. In the passenger seat is her unconscious boyfriend, pop singer Scott Donnoly, a.k.a. Scotty Dee. Not a soul is around to help, and her legs are wedged under the dashboard. She's trapped.

Danger lurks everywhere, including a small fire under the car, wild animals in the vicinity, and the unknown, life-threatening physiological effects of hanging upside down indefinitely. With her damaged cell phone, she dials random numbers until she finally reaches someone willing to help – a mysterious man named Casey.

However, she soon learns that roadside assistance is the last thing on Casey's mind.

CRIME NEVER STOPS. NEITHER DO THEY.

The film stars Paul Sloan (I AM WRATH); Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (THE A-TEAM; UFC); Michael Jai White (Spawn, Blood & Bone); with Jason Mewes (CLERKS, JAY & SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK) and Michael Madsen (THE HATEFUL 8; RESERVOIR DOGS; KILL BILL). The film is produced by Mike Hatton of Ton of Hats (who also co-stars in the film); Asko Akopyan of Oscar Gold Productions and Nick Vallelonga of Vallelonga Productions. Paul Sloan and Christian Sesma share writing credits on the picture.

VIGILANTE DIARIES revolves around a team of black-ops agents turned crime-fighters, led by an elusive, brooding anti-hero of near-mythical physical and weapons skills, known only as “The Vigilante” (Sloan). Abandoned by governments, corporations and his handlers and with a bounty on his head, The Vigilante’s jam-packed missions of rescue and revenge take the audience from the mega-mansions and underbelly of Los Angeles to seven far-flung locations on three continents, including: Yerevan (Armenia); London; Glasgow; Moscow; and Mexicali.
The film introduces a cast of colorful, dangerous, and hilarious characters. Mewes plays Beverly Hills documentary filmmaker Michael Hanover, who records the exploits of The Vigilante and is thrust headfirst into his subject, becoming a high-value target himself in the process. Mix in a trio of Asian femmes fatales, a cadre of ruthless Armenian mobsters, and at the top, a pair of deep cover super-spies hell-bent on throwing the world into chaos. Now it’s up to the Vigilante to sort ‘em all out. With no shortage of blood, gore, sex, and first-person shooter action sequences, VIGILANTE DIARIES is what action and adventure fans, hardcore gamers and graphic novel and comic readers who like everything from DEADPOOL to SIN CITY have been hungering for.

VIGILANTE DIARIES began as a web series that premiered at the San Diego Comic-con and ran on Machinima's digital channel through a partnership with the WME-owned Chill.com. Sesma and Hatton used the original series to sell Executive Producer Asko Akopyan on the picture and incorporated short clips of it into the final film as an origin story. Hatton says, “I saw the original web series and knew it could be expanded. It's second time I've taken a web series and turned it into a theatrical release. The concept of an action comedy set in a dark, gritty and hyper-violent world was appealing to me.”
Sesma remembers, "VIGILANTE DIARIES began as crazy web series that Paul Sloan and I did between other projects. To see it now, as a studio-quality action film that is part KILL BILL, part MISSION IMPOSSIBLE that was done with a very limited budget is exciting. VIGILANTE DIARIES is my third feature coming out this year and it's definitely the one I believe will be a huge break out.”

MICHAEL MADSEN TO STAR IN DEATH IN THE DESERT

Death in the Desert, inspired by the true crime book by Cathy Scott, and starring internationally-acclaimed actor Michael Madsen, comes to VOD February 16 from Osiris Entertainment.

Michael Madsen “steals the show” (Examiner.com) in a “classic” and “captivating” thriller (The Huffington Post) inspired by the real-life murder of casino tycoon Ted Binion.

Legendary casino owner Ray Easler (Madsen, The Hateful Eight) gets more than he bargained for when his live-in girlfriend falls for the hired help.  What results is a mystery a deck of cards long, and a finale that’ll shock like the largest of losses.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Josh Evans, Death in the Desert available February 16 on VOD.

The idea to connect with filmmakers and invite curating of retro classics has been a desire for sometime. You can bet they'll be a slew of amazing films Bressack curates for Campfire Fridays in the Fall/Winter and audiences are going to dig it.  We've been waiting for a filmmaker like Bressack to step up and want to do this with us.” said Christian Meoli, Head Programmer and Managing Director of Arena Cinema Hollywood.
