Forget Batman vs. Superman — the people want Archie vs. SHARKNADO!
Comic book fans will get to see an unexpected battle unfold in Riverdale, USA, this summer as everyone’s favorite freckled redhead takes on tornadoes filled with sharks in an extra-sized issue of Archie Comics.
The creators of the popular Syfy trilogy “Sharknado” have teamed up with legendary artist Dan Parent to release the “shark-tacular” 48-page book, “Archie vs Sharknado.”
The special issue will be released on the same day — July 22 — Syfy is set to debut their latest film in the saga — “Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!” It will feature art by Parent and be written by Anthony C. Ferrante. A description of the comic reads: “Just when Archie and the gang think they can kick back and enjoy a few months of beaches, naps and sun, they’re faced with a storm of sharknados — heading straight for their hometown of Riverdale. Archie and his friends have to battle the incoming pop culture storm as it creeps up the “Feast” coast to Riverdale — and then try to save what’s left of their hometown. Who lives? Who dies? Read the book!”
