John Fallon’s “The Shelter”, called “remarkably ambitious” by the L.A Times, premieres on DVD January 3rd from Uncork’d Entertainment.
Michael Paré (Eddie and the Cruisers, The Virgin Suicides) “steals each and every scene” in “the smart man’s horror film” (Icons of Fright) written, directed and produced by Fallon.
Extras on the DVD include an insightful audio commentary with writer/director/producer John Fallon, a video interview with star Michael Pare, a video tour of the house location, storyboards, the teaser, and the film's unnerving trailer.
On a star filled night, widower and homeless man Thomas Jacobs (Michael
Paré) finds shelter for the night when he falls upon a vast two-story
house with the lights on and an inviting open front door. He strolls on
in thinking he just caught a lucky break and for a while, it would
appear as though he did. But soon enough, he realizes that the house
won’t let him leave, as its doors are all locked while its windows
cannot be opened or broken. Destiny has brought Thomas to this place.
What does it want from him? Will he survive the ordeal?
The Shelter hits DVD January 3 from Uncork’d Entertainment.

In 1880s Kansas, sharpshooter turned rancher, Clay Travis (Paré),
goes from happily married father of two to a man on a mission after the
disappearance of his 17 year-old daughter, Lily. Determined to protect
what little family he has left, Clay leaves his quiet ranch and heads
to Wichita where, after confronting the ruthless Ty Stover (Adkins), he
discovers that Lily's been traded away into an underground sex ring in
Dodge City. And it's there, with the help of an unlikely companion --
hardened old barkeep Billy (Kristofferson) -- that Clay makes a stand to
bring his daughter home, leaving a trail of gunsmoke and bodies in his
wake.
Filled with dramatic Western vistas and sweeping panoramas, TRADED, directed by Timothy Woodward Jr. (Weaponized, 4Got10),
was shot in California and New Mexico, including locations in the Yucca
Valley, Paramount Ranch and Big Sky Movie Ranch. Co-stars include Tom
Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan, Black Hawk Down), Martin Kove (The Karate Kid trilogy), Quinton Aaron (The Blind Side) and, in her theatrical debut, Kris' daughter, Kelly Kristofferson.
"As
a small-town boy growing up in South Carolina, I was weaned on all the
classic Westerns," said Woodward Jr. "So, to have the opportunity to
helm an emotionally freighted story of frontier revenge set in the 19th
century was more than a dream come true. The highlight, obviously, for
myself and the entire cast and crew was to watch a true legend, Kris
Kristofferson, ply his trade in the same boots he wore in one of his
first starring roles in Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid."
Black Sails' Zach McGowan in the award-winning SNAPSHOT on DVD May 19
New trailer, stills, and artwork available
Zach McGowan (Shameless, Black Sails) leads the cast of the confrontational new thriller Snapshot, on DVD and May 19 from Osiris Entertainment.
Robert Loggia (Prizzi’s Honor, Scarface), Angela Little (American Pie Presents : Band Camp), Joyce DeWitt (Three’s Company), Michael Pare (Eddie and the Cruisers), Martin Kove (The Karate Kid), Angela Gots (Dark House), Deirdre Lorenz (Santorini Blue) and David Chokachi (Witchblade) co-star in the Manhattan Film Festival winner from director Eric Estebari.
Thomas Grady (Zach McGowan), former paparazzi, inadvertently captures a scandalous, revealing shot of one of the world's most prominent and beloved figures - the First Lady (Joyce DeWitt). What ensues is a terrific conflict of morals, love and money, while examining the fine line between an individual's right to privacy and the public's right to know. SNAPSHOT draws a parallel between the damage that can be inflicted by shooting someone with a camera instead of a gun. Possession of this photo forces Thomas to deal with ethical struggles and to confront the love of his life (Angela Gots), his brother (David Chokachi) and his father (Robert Loggia) as this photo puts the true nature of their relationships to a test, while an underlying life threatening danger exists, with an ending you would not expect. How far would you go to protect your privacy?
