VINEGAR SYNDROME'S UPCOMING SLATE FOR AUGUST AND BEYOND!

Hello From VS!

It has been a crazy summer here at Vinegar Syndrome, between acquiring new titles, launching Etiquette Pictures, developing the baadasssss streaming site Exploitation.TV, and keeping up with our release schedule, we haven't had a chance to do a big, formal email update in a while... So here we go!

We're launching August 20th on the web and Roku (iOS and Android apps to follow later this year).

Indiegogo supporters: the special Indiegogo Blu-ray and DVD releases will be shipping out around August 20th as well.

Etiquette Pictures:

Our new arthouse label Etiquette Pictures is off to a great start. The first EP release, SOME CALL IT LOVING, is available through all the major movie retailers. It has been receiving some stellar reviews:

"The first Blu-ray release of any venture of this type should be considered their calling card; this is how the company will do business and what you can expect from quality of transfer, product form and supplementary content. Some Call It Loving is in the spotlight, and while many of you may not have heard of it, it’s unforgettable." - DocTerror.com

“It's looks very lovely and film-like throughout with appropriate film grain levels, nice deep blacks, and some beautiful bursts of warm colors where they count. The sumptuous presentation also makes it easier to appreciate the film as a sort of cinematic cousin to titles as disparate as Night Tide, Venus in Furs, and Play It as It Lays." – Mondo-Digital.com

Upcoming 2015 EP releases:
Dennis Hopper is THE AMERICAN DREAMER (September 22nd)
CATCH MY SOUL (November 17th)

VS August Lineup:

As most of you probably know, August pre-orders are now live. We’re offering a 40% discount for people who pre-order the August Monthly Package in the next 48 hours. Place your pre-order by Friday the 24th to take advantage of the special offer.

As for the lineup, besides the requisite Tobalina double feature, we have a VS first: a Peekarama blu-ray, featuring two Bob Chinn classics: THE YOUNG LIKE IT HOT and SWEET YOUNG FOXES! Also coming in August is the oddball Florida made hybrid of crime film and proto-slasher, SOMETIMES AUNT MARTHA DOES DREADFUL THINGS and a rare non-hardcore effort from Tobalina, his Strangers On A Train inspired caper, FLESH & BULLETS, which features XXX luminaries such as Mai Lin acting along side cult stars like Robert Z'Dar!

VS & EP September Lineup:

In September, Etiquette Pictures will be releasing the official home video debut of Lawrence Schiller and L.M. Kit Carson's THE AMERICAN DREAMER on Blu-ray/DVD. Vinegar Syndrome will also be bringing the odd French/American co-production splatter film NIGHTMARE WEEKEND to Blu-ray/DVD in a brand new (and much brighter) 2K restoration! You'll finally be able to see the ending! Additionally, we have a double feature of two all but lost Albert Zugsmith directorial efforts, INCREDIBLE SEX REVOLUTION and ON HER BED OF ROSES. We will also be releasing the first in a series of Matt Cimber films, his artsy white coaters HE & SHE and THE SENSUALLY LIBERATED FEMALE in new, director-approved restorations. Lastly, September's Tobalina double feature will have William Margold’s favorite, LUST INFERNO (featuring a new commentary with the man himself) double billed with MARATHON.

October is Coming...

Finally, in October, the month everyone is (rightfully) most excited about, we will be releasing the Blu-ray debuts of Norman Thaddeus Vane's FRIGHTMARE and Alfredo Zacharias' DEMONOID (featuring both the domestic and international cuts of the film!). Also slated for October is Phillip Marshak's supremely weird hybrid of detective drama, film noir, light sci-fi, hardcore sex and Nazisploitation, BLUE ICE! The remainder of October's releases will be announced as they are finalized.
