Horror, Sci-fi & More's Art Expo featured artist of the week...Dale Carroll (Week 2 Day 2)

So it's tuesday!!! That means day two of Dale Carroll's week. So we decided on Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice! And some more views into the mind of Dale!

4. How has your practice changed over time?

Sometimes I drink tea. Just kiddin...g. I think I am using more
tools these days. New erasers and such. I also get my prints
colored sometimes for cons.

5. What’s integral to the work of an artist?

I think we all have a sense of pride in our methods.I think
it's also important to find your niche. I've talked to artists
who are way better than me at pencils and ink. Artists who can
whip up a Batman piece that would make you drool. But, they
tell me they envy the fact that I am a charcoal artist who
specializes in horror. Superhero artists are easy to find.
That made me feel like I was on the right track.

6. What role does the artist have in society?

I guess it depends on the artist. I just want to draw and be happy.
I'm no Banksy. He's amazing and usually has something to say about politics or society. That's not me.
